How it works
Three steps to pay commercial rent or invoices by credit card, even when your landlord only accepts bank transfer.
Rent, invoices, rates, utilities and HMRC, each sent as a normal bank transfer from your business, with your reference.
Sign up and complete a one-time business verification (KYB). We verify your company and confirm your identity before any payment is processed. It takes around 5 minutes, and most businesses are approved instantly, nearly all within the hour. Have a recent business bank statement and photo ID for a director to hand. Some businesses are also asked for proof of the director's home address, and recently incorporated companies for how the business was first funded.
Enter the payment amount, recipient bank details, and your invoice or tenancy reference. The reference is required on every payment; it’s what your landlord or supplier sees on their statement, passed through exactly as entered.
Then pay with your UK-issued Visa or Mastercard, personal or business, in the name of a company director or registered officer, through 3D Secure. Your card is charged the payment amount plus the Payko rate, shown in full before you confirm.
The next working day, your landlord or supplier is sent a normal UK bank transfer showing your business name and your reference. Not Payko. Nothing changes for them: no sign-up, no new process, no action needed.
Payko isn't card processing. It's time. Drag the slider to see what your payment really costs per day of breathing room.
Compare that with an overdraft, invoice finance, or a difficult conversation with your landlord. Any rewards your card earns (points, cashback, Avios) are a bonus on top, through your card issuer.
